Team India to wear Army Caps in ODI to pay tribute to Pulwama Soldiers

The Indian Cricket Team, popularly known as Men in Blue will be seen wearing army-style camouflage caps in todays (8th March 2019) ODi match against Australia. The match is held at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi. BCCI recently tweeted to acknowledge the efforts taken by the team to support our nation and brave jawans.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tweeted, "#TeamIndia will be sporting camouflage caps today as mark of tribute to the loss of lives in Pulwama terror attack and the armed forces And to encourage countrymen to donate to the National Defence Fund for taking care of the education of the dependents of the martyrs #JaiHind."
Former Indian captain and Lieutenant Colonel Mahendra Singh Dhoni handed these caps to every member of the team including players, coaches and support staff. They promptly replaced their blue caps for army caps.
After winning the toss, Captain Virat Kohli informed, "We’re all donating our match fees of this game to the families of the martyrs. I urge everyone in the country to do the same and stick to the families of our armed forces."
India is leading the five match ODI series by 2-0 against Australia. India is eager to win today and make sure we seal the deal. GAME ON!!
