Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have decided to collaborate after 20 years. The last film they worked on was the superhit Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. This new project is expected to begin soon but the female lead has not been spoken about. The filmmaker is keen on casting Deepika Padukone who has worked with the actress in three films and share a great rapport. Bhansali believes that Deepika and Salman would make a fresh pairing.
The report claims that Salman wishes Katrina to be cast in the role opposite him. In fact, when the superstar was discussing Bajirao Mastani with the director, he had the filmmaker audition her. Names like Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor have also been discussed but Bhansali thinks they will look very young as compared to a 53-year-old Salman. Looks like there are a lot of things being taken into consideration.
While Priyanka Chopra made an appearance on Koffee With Karan, she revealed that she is in talks with Bhansali for a project. The question is if she was talking about the same project. Looks like Salman's reasoning is he hasn't forgiven the actress for walking out of Bharat at the last minute.
While reports suggest that the film PeeCee was discussing was a different film. The film was a heroine centred biopic that Bhansali intends to produce. He might not be the one directing the film.
