Love Aaj Kal 2: Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan to begin shooting next week?


Ever since Sara Ali Khan appeared on Koffee With Karan and confessed that she wants to date Kartik Aaryan, the buzz around the two of them has increased. Reportedly, the duo is set to star in filmmaker Imtiaz Ali's next Love Aaj Kal 2. The filming of the same is set to kick off in Delhi next week. Randeep Hooda is also going to be a part of the film.

It has been reported that Kartik, Sara and Randeep have been doing readings for a while now. It has been heard, "Unlike Imtiaz’s previous two films — Jab Harry Met Sejal and Tamasha — which were set in foreign locales, this one largely unravels in Punjab and Delhi." The pyaar ka punchnama actor Kartik confirmed the news.

Kartik said, "He is one of my favourite filmmakers and I have always wanted to work with him. I am glad it’s finally happening." The movie will be a sequel to Imtiaz's 2009 rom-com film, Love Aaj Kal. The film features Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Rishi Kapoor in pivotal roles. Reports also suggested that Saif will be starring in the film. He said, "I’m happy to sell my stake and not be a part of the film. It’s a business deal."

In the sequel, it seems like Randeep's character will be similar to that of Rishi Kapoor's in the original. The film will be co-produced by Imtiaz and Dinesh Vijan (Maddock Films).

On the other hand, Kartik is currently promoting his film Luka Chuppi. This film is directed by Laxman Utekar. The film also stars Kriti Sanon as the female lead. The actor has also signed Pati, Patni aur Woh remake. The film is being directed by Mudassar Aziz. The actor is working with Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar. The filming for the same has already begun.
