After impressing millions of people with his stellar performance in Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju last year, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for his next film 'Brahmastra'. This film will be ranbir's first collaboration with Alia Bhatt. This power couple has teamed up for director Ayan Mukherji's supernaturnal fantasy film Brahmastra. Ayan recently shared that Ranbir was the first call he made after ideation of Brahmastra.
Ayan is still new to Instagram but he sure gives us peeks into Brahmastra's post production. He has released a picture of Ranbir that was to be a look test for the film. This picture of Ranbir will definitely remind you of his look in the 2011 superhit film 'Rockstar'. Ranbir is flaunting long messy hair and sporting a stubble. The Roy actor looks like an artist.
Ayan captioned the picture, "Rumi. First, he was Rumi. Rumi with long hair. This image is from an early look test for the movie. Rumi said, ‘Love is the bridge between you and everything...’, and that feeling is the foundation we started building the protagonist of this movie on... But then, there was new inspiration, newer thoughts... Dragon became Brahmāstra, we gave Ranbir a haircut, and Rumi became... Shiva."
The film is being produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia, Divyendu Sharma and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. This film has been shot in Bulgaria, Edinburgh, London and Mumbai. Brahmastra is a trilogy and the first part of the series is titled 'Love'. The film will hit theatres this year around Christmas.
