Bollywood will consider February 24, 2018 as a dark day. Entire nation woke up in a state of shock as we heard of Sridevi's untimely death. According to Dubai Police, Sridevi died due to accidental drowning in a hotel bathtub. However, her fans had raise serious doubts over the cause of her death. The circumstances looked mysterious at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai.
A year has passed to this tragedy. According to the Hindu calender, Sridevi's first death anniversary will be observed on February 14 this year. Boney Kapoor along with daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor will fly to Chennai soon. They have organised a puja at Sridevi's maternal home to honour her memory. A few close family members will also be present at the puja.
A few days after the release of Janhvi's debut film, Boney recounted what he and Sridevi discussed about Dhadak before they left for Dubai to attend their nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding.
After attending the wedding, Sridevi was found dead in a hotel room at Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai on the night of February 24. According to her post-mortem report, Dubai Police ruled out Sridevi's death as accidental drowning. Post Sridevi's demise, Boney Kapoor's son Arjun Kapoor and daughter Anshula Kapoor from his first wife Mona Shourie became pillars of strength and support for Janhvi and Khushi.
