Priyanka Chopra wanted a private island wedding but Nick wanted to marry her at home..

Global icons Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas' wedding was nothing short of a fairytale. They decided to take the leap of faith after only a couple of months of dating each other. They got married on December 1-2 at Jodhpur's Umaid Bhavan Palace. The wedding festivities lasted three days but it consisted of larger-than-life feels. In fact, their wedding became one of the most talked about events of 2018.

Bollywood's Desi Girl wanted a quiet and private island wedding but India's national jiju wanted to take his bride from her home. Priyanka spilled some beans about her wedding with Nick. She said, "I always wanted to get married in a private island away from everything. We were like really stressed out about it cause we thought Seychelles, Maldives, Mauritius and nothing was working out, how will we fly everyone and the logistics."

Priyanka further added, "This was in Mumbai and Nick Just said, "Why aren't we doing this in India? Shouldn't I be taking my bride from her home?" That question floored her and the rest is history. Apart from this Jimmy also wanted to know why Priyanka chose to take his surname. She said, "I always wanted to add his name to mine because I feel like you know we are becoming family. I'm a little traditional and old school like that, but I don't take away my identity. He gets added to who I am."

On the professional front, Priyanka is all set for her third Hollywood film titled 'Isn't It Romantic' to release. The film has been directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson. The rom-com also stars Liam Hemsworth, Rebel Wilson, Adam DeVine and Betty Gilpin in pivotal roles. The film will hit theatres on February 13, 2019.
