Akshay Kumar shares teasers from his upcoming Drama 'Kesari'


Akshay Kumar unveiled teasers from his upcoming film Kesari. The period drama Kesari which also stars Parineeti Chopra. The teaser is a bird's eye view of an epic battle scene which features Akshay Kumar in the front. While second one, is a clip of a man who emerges with fire all over and raised his arm in defiance.




Akshay Kumar shared another short teaser video on Twitter. He quoted the teaser, "It's an UNBELIEVABLE TRUE STORY. Presenting the first one from the #GlimpsesOfKesari."

The producer of the film Karan Johar also tweeted a picture that shows a Sikh man standing alone with his sword facing a large gathering of men. Akshay tweeted, "Unraveling the pages of history to the bravest battle ever fought. #GlimpsesOfKesari from tomorrow, are you ready? #Kesari."

Akshay and Karan tweeted another post on Tuesday with a caption, "Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari, jo bahega mera woh lahoo bhi Kesari, aur mera jawaab bhi Kesari."

Parineeti Chopra shared a picture from the sets in December. She captioned the picture, "Anytime I watched a war movie, it was the love story of those brave men that kept me going..so proud to be a part of this epic experience!!! Thank you Akshay sir, Kjo & Anurag sir for allowing me to be a part of your vision."


The period drama is based on the 1897 Battle of Saragarhi. This battle was fought by by an army of 21 Sikha fought against a troop of 10,000 Afghan invaders. The film is being directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films and Azure Entertainment. The film is set to release on 21st March and the trailer is expected to be made public on 21st February 2019.
