Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has managed to grab all the top honors at the ICC Awards 2017-18. Kohli has completed the hat-trick after being awarded the ODI cricketer of the Year, the Test Cricketer of the Year and the 2018 Cricketer of the Year. Another stellar performance by Virat Kohli in international cricket had to be lauded with appropriate appreciation.
Kohli was the highest scorer in Test cricket in 2018 with 1322 runs in 13 matches at an average of 55.08 runs with five centuries and almost similar half-centuries. He also finished on top of ODI tally with a total of 1202 runs in 14 ODIs with an average of 133.55 runs including six centuries. Kohli won the ODI cricketer of the Year and Cricketer of the year last year as well. He was also named the captain of both Test and ODI teams of the Year for a straight second year.
Kohli was also rewarded for leading Team India the way he has in both Test and one-day series in 2018. He also became the only Asian captain to win a test match in South Africa (Johannesberg), England (Nottingham) and Australia (Adelaide and Melbourne) in the same calendar year (2018).
