Uri box office collection increases after PM Modi's How's The Josh viral video!


Vicky Kaushal's military drama Uri The Surgical Strike is doing great at the box office. In its second week, the film has managed to collect Rs 37.96 crore at the box office. The first weekend the movie collected Rs 35.73 crore. This is a commendable rise for the collection at the theatres. Despite competition from new releases like Emraan Hashmi's Why Cheat India.

The film has now managed to cross the 100-crore mark in 10 days from its release. Uri has earned a total of Rs 108.9 crore at the box office.

Apart from Vicky Kaushal and his performance, our PM Narendra Modi also had a hand in the film's success. Our honorable PM released his 'How's The Josh' video from the inauguration of the National Museum of Indian Cinema went viral. In the video, the Prime Minister asked the audience which consists mostly of Bollywood stars. He began with the tagline of Uri, "How's The Josh?" and the audience responded by saying, "High, Sir."

Uri stars Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam shared this viral video featuring PM Modi on their own social media accounts. Vicky captioned it saying, "What an honour!" Yami Gautam shared the video with the caption, "The Josh is HIGH SIR!! Such an honour @PMOIndia."

Uri The Surgical Strike is based on a surgical strike carried out by the Indian Army on seven terrorist launchpads across the LOC on September 29, 2016. This was retaliation to a terrorist attack on an Army camp in Uri earlier that month.
