Hrithik Roshan has revealed that his father and film maker Rakesh Roshan has been diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago. In this type of cancer refers to uncontrollable growth of cancer cells in the lining of the throat.
Hrithik shared a picture with his father where the two of them are spotted at the gym pre-workout. He captioned this picture saying, "Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. Love you Dad. "
The comments section has flooded with prayer messages and get well soon wishes. It has only ben a couple of hours that Hrithik decided to share the news to the public via Instagram and fans and well wishers have chimed in with love and support for the family.
On the professional front, Rakesh Roshan is working on the fourth installment of the popular Krrish franchise with his son as the mask and cape crusader. Speculation suggests that in this part, Hrithik would be playing the superhero as well as the villian in the film. He is working on world-level action sequences and VFX. The director was quoted saying, "We will rope in international action director for the film. We want to up the scale of action and VFX. Show something that is not done."
Krrish 4 is set to hit the theatres around Christmas 2020. Rumours suggest that Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif are top contenders for the leading lady for the film.
