Zoya Akhtar is one of those directors who bring unique take on simple ideas. From Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara to Dil Dhadakne Do, the writer-director is known for out-of-the-box films. Her upcoming venture 'Gully Boy' features Ranveer Singh, Kalki Koechlin and Alia Bhatt. This one is all about hip-hop from the streets. The trailer release has been announced quite interestingly. Ranveer is seen rapping in this video while a few snippets from the film have been shown.

Several celebrities have reacted to this teaser song which features Ranveer as a small town boy aspiring for success. The video also stars Alia and Kalki with Ranveer roaming the streets as a rapper. The trailer of this Ranveer Singh starrer is set to e released on January 9, 2018. A lot of appreciation is headed Ranveer's way. Gully Boy is based on the lives of street rappers like Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy known for their song Mere Gully Mein.
The film directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar is scheduled to release on February 14, 2019. This film is said to have its world premiere at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival.
