Zero was one of the most anticipated films of 2018. Zero released on December 21, 2018 across India and the film has not been received well by the critics or fans. While many of the critics gave the film negative reviews, twitterati have taken it a step further and brutally criticised and trolled the film. Memes and jokes are floating around.
Zero is struggling at the Box office as well.The film has made approximately Rs 69 crores at the domestic box office in 4 days. But the response is pretty low for a Khan film (Shah Rukh, Aamir, Salman). Since the film has not entered the 100 crore club in its first weekend, the film can be categorized as average. However the reviews and negative word of mouth has resulted in Zero's Box Office collection down-fall.

For Shah Rukh Khan, this piece of information is absolutely not good. The King of Bollywood has not given a blockbuster hit film since Farah Khan's Happy New Year. Films like Jab Harry met Sejal, Fan, Dilwale, Raees have performed disappointingly at the box office. Dear Zindagi was at least critically acclaimed but under-performed at the box office.

Rumours suggest that SRK has signed Rakesh Sharma-biopic titled Saare Jahan Se Accha. However, no official confirmation has been made by the actor or the production house.Zero also starred Mohhamed Zeeshan Ayyub, Tigmanshu Dhulia and others. The film saw cameos by Salman Khan, Sridevi, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Kajol, Rani Mukherji, Karisma Kapor and Juhi Chawla.
