Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar's 2.0 is on a record breaking spree!

2.0 is doing some real blockbuster business at the Box Office. The film has received its share of flak like the script is weak but the amazing VFX work is satisfactory enough for entertainment deprived audience.

This film released last week and it is still going strong at the box office. Even with the release of Kedarnath, the audience wishes to see this magnum opus film. After the weekend, 2.0 is expected to cross 500 crores mark in its worldwide revenue. It looks like the film is on track to break records. The film has not only carved a career opportunity for Akshay Kumar and Rajnikanth.

There are a few records that the film has broken in the past week. 2.0 has become the second Indian film to have an opening of 100 crores after Baahubali 2. This is the highest opening number for both Akshay Kumar and Rajnikanth. Also it is biggest opening observed in Chennai and Tamil Nadu.

Akshay Kumar has now become the first Bollywood actor whose film has crossed the 100 crore mark on the day of release. This film is the biggest hit for Akshay Kumar and Rajnikanth. After Baahubali 2, 2.0 is the second highest grossing Hindi dubbed film till date. It is also the highest grossing Tamil film ever.

This film has become a major hit outside India. It has become India's highest grossing film in Australia. The film set to release in China in 56,000 screens. 47,000 screens will feature the film in 3D. This will make 2.0 a foreign film to see the widest ever 3D release in China.
