In 2015, Deepika Padukone stepped forward and shared her diagnosis of anxiety and clinical depression. She even encouraged pople to seek help for their problems. A few days before her wedding to Ranveer Singh, Deepika wrote a letter about her struggle with anxiety and depression. The handwritten letter will soon be published in the 22nd anniversary edition of Elle India. Elle recently shared Deepika's note on their Instagram handle.

By publicly talking about her own battles, she empowered many to reach out and seek help. Her letter is full of empathy and kindness, a reminder that (in the words of Stephen Fry) 'it will be sunny one day'."
Earlier this year, Deepika attended the World Congress on Information Technology and Nasscom India Leadership Forum 'Making Mental Wellness A Boardroom Priority'. She said, "It's okay to have moments of weakness, okay to break down and okay to cry. It's okay if you don't look great all the time. You are not alone. One in three or five persons feels depression. It's going to be next big epidemic to hit our country."
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone got hitched to Ranveer Singh on November 14 in a traditional Konkani ceremony followed by a Singhi wedding on November 15, 2018. Both functions were a fiercely intimate ceremonies in Lake Como Italy. The couple had banned mobile phones and strictly kept the paparazzi out.
