Marking Bollywood Badshah's 53rd birthday, the team of his upcoming film decided a grand launch for their trailer. At the 'Zero' trailer launch event, SRK revealed the reason behind doing the film. It was reported before that Shah Rukh Khan was not the first choice for the film.
Discussing the comment SRK confessed, "It's not true that he (Aanand L Rai) asked a lot of people... Salman had actually called me and said that there's this film, do it." Salman has done a cameo in Zero whose glimpse was shared in the Eid-special teaser of the film. Shah Rukh Khan added, "The reason he came and did that song was because of this. He wanted to be a part of the film."
King Khan and Salman Bhai have been friends for a very long time. They have done a couple of films together as well like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Karan Arjun and Hum Tumhare hain Sanam. SRK did a cameo in Salman's film 'Tubelight'. However, these two Khans of Bollywood had a fallout in 2008. They hosted a couple of events and award shows together but they officially called a truce at Salman's sister Arpita Khan's wedding in 2014.
