We have seen the Nawab of Bollywood Saif Ali Khan and his begum Kareena Kapoor Khan have previously worked in movies together like Omkara(2006), Tashan(2008), Kurbaan(2009) and Agent Vinod(2012). After that these two have never shared screen space together and they intend never to repeat that again.

In a recent interview when Saif was asked why haven't these two been seen together and if they are plans of doing a film together. Saif courteously replied, "Not working with Kareena is a conscious choice. When I am with Kareena on screen, I end up not performing. I become deferential and slightly boring in the frame.I don’t compete and give enough energy. I kind of play myself, which is bad. If you know the person too well, there’s a tendency to slip into a certain comfort zone. And comfort is the enemy of cinema. Tension is what you want."
Saif is the kind of man who prefers to keep his personal and professional life different. This is the reason why he has been constantly rejecting films with Kareena. To keep up with his mantra, he needs to keep the two facets of his life separate. He also spoke about this different outlook of his life.
Saif mentioned, "I’ve been saying no to working with Bebo in recent years because I’ve always ensured that there’s a clear demarcation between my personal and professional life. Now, however, the lines are blurring. With my father (Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi) not being around and me being the de-facto head of the family, my outlook has changed."
Somewhere Saif is also hopeful that maybe in the near future they would consider working together provided the script does justice to both of them as actors. He said, "Bebo and I will work together in the near future, provided the script does justice to both of us. I’m a good enough actor and I’m improving. So, I might be able to actually perform something interesting with her."
